Videora – iPod Video Converter

2 10 2008

If you’ve recently purchased a shiny new iPod, chances are you don’t have too much extra cash laying around to actually put anything on it. While music may be easy enough to steal, what if you want to put something else on it to watch besides free video podcasts? That’s where a free video converting program called Videora comes in.

Videora takes virtually any video file type and creates a duplicate .mp4 file, allowing it to be viewed on the iPod. The process is simple: just select your file(s) and model of iPod and the files are automatically added to the video library in your iTunes. I used it on countless occasions to watch my torrented movies and TV shows during lunch breaks at work and while traveling. Videora also has the ability to convert video from YouTube as well, but I was never quite able to get it to work properly.

Here’s a video of some dude trying to give a tutorial:

Videora is available here.
